What does THE Student Success Agency do?
Student Success Agency is a mobile platform that connects students to near-peer “Agents” (mentors) who provide students with after-school and weekend support. Through SSA’s platform, students gain access to mentoring, academic tutoring, social-emotional support, and personalized college readiness coaching.
HOW IT WORKS
- Students use their phones to safely and securely connect with SSA’s mentors, called Agents, who assist students with academic, personal, and professional goals including: tutoring, applying for scholarships and colleges, emotional well-being, career ambitions, and more.
- Agents track student insights in the platform, and all conversations are recorded.
- Educators use real-time insights and Agent reports to monitor student goals and achievements. School administrators have 24/7 access to macro-view reports.

- Students actually use it! SSA adds back an average of full school year worth of time (75,000 minutes) per 500 students with access to the platform.

HOW DOES STUDENT SUCCESS AGENCY SUPPORT COUNSELORS?
The platform supplements the amazing work counselors do every day. Just like counselors are a necessary part of school, they are necessary to the SSA platform. The platform is meant to help counselors reach more students more effectively, without increasing their workload (and even decreasing “busy” work).
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO LEARN HOW TO USE THE PLATFORM?
The platform is intuitive and easy to use. Our support team will walk you through a one-hour, introductory demo and provide support as needed.
WE ALREADY HAVE A LEARNING PLATFORM, WHY WOULD WE NEED STUDENT SUCCESS AGENCY?
Our platform provides support for the whole student, while allowing counselors to reach more students without overextending themselves. Most educational platforms are geared towards teachers and backend organization, whereas Student Success Agency supports the work of counselors and helps students perform better academically and personally, while giving student insight to counselors, teachers, and parents.
WHAT SAFETY MEASURES ARE IN PLACE?
All of our Agents undergo a rigorous interview process and are screened through the certified National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) 5-step background check system. Agents also receive ongoing coaching and performance monitoring to ensure quality mentorship.
Our software masks students’ and agents’ real contact information, so that no personal numbers are exchanged. All calls, texts, and emails are time-stamped, recorded, and monitored through SSA’s safe and secure proprietary tracking system. Our system automatically flags our safety, administrative, and counselor teams if any sensitive information is ever shared.
